Golf Field Guide is operated by Alexander Gunnarsson. This page explains the app's local reading data, the services used for subscriptions, and what happens if you contact support. You do not need an account to read your five free articles, and the app has no ads.
Reading stays on your device
The app stores your reading progress, bookmarks, place in an article and language preference on your device. Your five permanent free article choices are stored in a device-only Keychain item and are not synchronized to other devices. The app does not send those choices, your reading history or your searches to its subscription service. The Keychain item may survive an app reinstall, so reinstalling is not a way to reset the five choices.
Subscriptions and service data
The app uses RevenueCat to check subscription access, validate purchases, restore access, and provide subscription dashboard analytics. These access checks can send service data even if you have not bought Premium. Apple handles payment. You do not create an app account; RevenueCat generates a persistent app user ID that associates service requests and subscription records across sessions. RevenueCat also uses service data for purchase-validation fraud prevention, monitoring, troubleshooting and customer support.
Service data can include that ID, purchase history and entitlement status, and IDFV, Apple's vendor-specific device identifier, when available. Technical request details include platform and SDK information, operating system and device model, app version, build and bundle identifier, preferred languages, and storefront country. Customer records retain the last-seen app, operating-system and SDK versions, locale, country inferred from the request's IP address, and the time of the last connection to RevenueCat's servers. Country and connection-time information support subscription analytics and customer/service support. A server connection is not a record of every app launch or of the articles you read. IP-derived country is not GPS or precise location.
RevenueCat also reads and sends the device's current App Tracking Transparency permission status automatically and stores it with the app user ID. The status is visible in the subscription dashboard for service and support; this does not display a permission prompt or change the setting. Golf Field Guide does not receive your full payment-card details and does not use data to track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.
For more about these services, read RevenueCat's Privacy Policy, RevenueCat's Apple app privacy guidance, and Apple's Privacy Policy. Apple's purchase and subscription records are governed by Apple's own practices.
When you contact us
If you email support or use the shared Golfverse support form, you share your email address and whatever you put in the message. The form also asks which app you use. Netlify stores the submission and sends a notification to us so we can respond. We use it to handle your request, separately from data sent automatically for subscription access. Support correspondence is kept only as needed to resolve requests, provide follow-up help and meet applicable legal obligations. Please avoid sending payment-card details or sensitive information.
Retention and requests
Local reading data and the device-only free-choice item remain under the device's storage and Keychain behavior. RevenueCat's operational request logs can contain IDFV alongside the generated app user ID and, for purchase requests, receipt or transaction data. These logs retain technical request headers except credentials and are kept for up to 60 days. That limit applies to request logs, rather than every customer or subscription record, backup, or archive. Apple and RevenueCat apply their service retention rules to other records. Deleting the app does not erase service records. RevenueCat processes customer deletion asynchronously, so a deletion does not immediately remove every copy from logs, backups, archives, or historical systems. To ask about data or request deletion where available, email spacebunnyapps@gmail.com. We can explain which records we can address and which requests must be handled through Apple or RevenueCat. You can also use the support page for app help.
